Junior Country Week is a week of cricket played early in January each year, where players in age groups from Under 13 to under 17 are mixed and matched in teams of equal ability, to play 3 matches (then hopefully a final on the fourth day) against other sides all from the Geelong and Bellarine competitions (and sometimes Colac).
Players are usually placed with one or two players from their own club, but also mixed with other players from all over Geelong.
It's a great week for both cricket and personal development.
The cost is $20 per player, to be paid to the club (via your team coach or manager) and we forward the money on to the GJCA.
Complete the form which you should receive from your coaches / team managers in October / early November and return it to them ASAP.
The club must be able to forward these nominations on before December 15th 2020.
You don't need to forward these directly to Grant Dew as the form indicates (although you can) but we will need them returned in time to forward them ourselves, well before 15th December.
If you don't have a form, you can obtain one from our downloads page.
Please refer to your Team Coach / Manager or Steve Simpkin (Junior coordinator) if you have any questions.
There will be a brief information session at Thomson Cricket Club (in Godfrey Street, East Geelong) on the Sunday prior to Country Week (January 5th.)
